Luxembourg's Ministry of Finance has confirmed that HRH the Hereditary Grand Duke, Prince Guillaume, will visit the USA on Friday and Saturday this week to participate in the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank, along with Luxembourg's Minister of finance, Pierre Gramegna.
HRH the Hereditary Grand Duke is currently on his way home from the United Arab Emirates along with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for the Economy, Etienne Schneider, and the Minister for Sustainable Development and Infrastructure, Francois Bausch; and Minister Gramegna was in China at the end of September.
In the margins of the meetings in Washington D.C., Minister Gramegna will have bilateral meetings with a number of his counterparts. In addition, he will participate in working meetings with IMF and World Bank leaders.
This trip to Washington will be followed by a mission to promote Luxembourg's financial centre from Sunday 15 to Tuesday 17 October 2017 in New York. The mission will be chaired by HRH the Hereditary Grand Duke and will be led by the Minister of Finance.
On this occasion, Minister Gramegna will participate in a conference organised by the Luxembourg Association of Investment Funds (ALFI) for the benefit of professionals in the financial sector. The Minister will also have meetings with high-level representatives of financial firms based in New York.
